Thank you for your interest in WUMC Weekday School.  As a non-profit program approved by the Maryland State Department of Education, we are honored that you are considering or have chosen to entrust us with your child’s education and development.  Since 1974 the Walkersville United Methodist Church has offered a preschool day program for young children in the community.   Our program is based on fundamentals such as fine motor skills, number and letter recognition, counting, patterning, sequencing, social-emotional skills, following rules, sharing, manners, and ultimately independence.  Every craft has a purpose and it is our goal to keep learning fun. If you are interested in a school tour, please email Vicky to schedule a time.

A completed registration form and $50 registration fee (per family) are required to enroll your child. Payments may be made on the Brightwheel app, by cash or check. Please make checks payable to WUMC Weekday School. You may drop off your payment on school days between 9:00-3:15, or put it in the locked mailbox located near the entrance to the school

Enrollment confirmation, required forms and all back to school information will be sent via Brightwheel.  The first month’s tuition payment and the one-time supply/activity fee will be due by the first class meeting in September. If two children from the same family are enrolled, the second child’s tuition is reduced by 20%.

Classes are filled on a first come first serve basis.  Age requirements are listed for each class, however, because we are a private preschool, we have flexibility and will sometimes make exceptions.  Please contact the Director with any questions prior to enrollment. Class sizes are limited  and we must have a minimum number of childre n enrolled in each class. All final registration decisions are at the Director’s discretion.
