Registration Information

2010-2011

Registration for Weekday Nursery’s 2010-2011 program is now open (see schedule).    Please help us by indicating a first, second, and third choice of programs when selecting what is best for your child.  Although we will make every attempt to place your child in one of the programs you have chosen, we must have some leeway in scheduling the classes.  For example, it might be necessary to balance the girl/boy ratio for class dynamics.  Additionally, we must have a minimum of eight children enrolled for a class to operate it.  All classes are planned to be developmentally appropriate to the ages of the children enrolled.   All final registration decisions are at the Director’s discretion.

YOUNG THREES

This is a special class for the older two year old/ younger three year old having a first experience away from home.  Supervised play, art and craft projects, and alternating quiet and active times are part of the day.  Classes have a limit of 10 children supervised by a teacher and an aide.  Children must be three years old by March 2011.  Toilet training is not required.  Tuition is $75 per month for 1 day per week class   Tuition is $100 per month for 2 day per week class.

PROGRAMS FOR THREES

Classes are limited to eight children.  To be eligible for the 3’s class, a child must be three years old by September 1, 2010.   Toilet training is also required.  Classes meet two half-days per week.  Tuition is $100 per month.

OLDER THREES

This special class fills a need for older threes who are ready for more demanding activities. Class size is limited to 8 children per class.  To be eligible for this class, the child must be three by July 1, 2010.  Toilet training is required for this class.  The class meets three half-days per week.  Tuition is $150 per month.

PROGRAMS FOR FOURS

Our classes for fours are limited to 10 children per class.  The child must be four by September 30, 2010.  Toilet training is also required.  Classes meet three half-days per week.  Tuition is as $150 per month.       

PRE K PROGRAM

This class is for the older four year old who is ready for a faster paced class.  There are 10 children per class.  The children must be four by September 1, 2010.  Toilet training is required.  Class meets five half-days per week.  Tuition is $195 per month.

 PLEASE NOTE:  Parents of students in all classes will be required to periodically furnish juice and snack items for the children’s snack during class time.  Assignments are made on a rotating schedule.  Snack is provided by the nursery school.

 Please complete the registration form and return it to WEEKDAY NURSERY SCHOOL DIRECTOR (see registration dates).  A $50.00 registration and the first month’s tuition (see above) made payable to Walkersville United Methodist Church is required at the time of registration.  The $50.00 registration fee is non-refundable.  The first month’s tuition payment is refundable until July 1, 2009, if the parent notifies us in writing that the space reserved for the child is to be released.   A supply and activity fee of $50 is due at the first class meeting.
