Dear WUMC Family: The family of Betty Winn would like to express their sincere gratitude for all of the prayers, cards, visits, and support during the illness and passing of Betty. WUMC was a very important part of her life. We also appreciated the use of the church facilities for our celebration of her life. We especially want to acknowledge the many volunteer's efforts in planning, preparing, and serving the reception luncheon following the funeral. It surely made our day a lot easier to bear. Please know that we were comforted by the many displays of sympathy.

Music, whether it be piano, organ, or voice, was always such a large part of her life. The choir's participation was an especially meaningful part of the service. Thank you to the Shawl Ministry: Marni and group, I want to thank you and your group for the shawl that was sent to me. It meant the world to me during my ordeal and stayed with me wherever I went. I prayed with the shawl and felt that my church family was always with me. You have no idea how much it meant to me to have it with me. The shawl was also so very beautiful and added beauty to an otherwise drab ugly room. I must say that the shawl ministry is a wonderful ministry that really touches the heart, thank you very much.
