Walkersville United Methodist Church’s Knitting and Crocheting Group meets the first Friday of the month in the Church Library from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  This is an informal time of sharing, prayer and mutual fellowship for any age or skill level.  Our group is composed of members age 12- senior citizen.  Some members are new to the craft, others are experts and some are taking up the needles again after years away from the craft.

Since March 2007 our knitting/crocheting group has provided shawls to 75 persons suffering illness, loss or in need of our support and comfort. Many have been members of WUMC but about half are outside our church family. If you know someone who could benefit from this ministry, please contact Marni 301-845-9860.

This is Dan and Bonnie Connelly with Bonnie's mother, Helen. 

Helen is 98 and served as a missionary in Sierra Leone as a young wife and mother.  Bonnie was actually born there.
