GLADE VALLEY COMMUNITY SERVICES FOOD BANK:  Keeping the Food Bank stocked is vitally important for those in our community without other resources to feed their families.  The shelves of the Food Bank are constantly in need of replenishing.  If you would like to help out, a large box is in the back of the sanctuary for your donations.  Below are some suggestions on what is needed.  For additional information, please contact Orly Bourland.

Canned fruit would be most helpful – peaches, pears, etc – and maybe some miscellaneous items like cans of coffee, instant pudding mixes, jelly, ketchup, mustard, etc? Each household gets 3 to 4 miscellaneous items along with the specified numbers of fruit, beans, veggies, starches, meats, etc…and there hasn’t been much ‘miscellaneous’ to give out other than jello and pancake mix and syrup.
